David S. Robinson

RobinsonDavid Robinson has assisted clients in cross-border transactions around the world.  He helps global businesses integrate corporate compliance and operational programs into subsidiary operations, facilitate the transfer of personnel among operations, comply with export control and boycott regulations, and negotiate commercial and joint venture relationships.  His practice areas include immigration, international business transactions, international litigation, international law and services, mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, and labor and employment law. David is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

David regularly presents on cross-border legal issues.  He has written and taught an MBA-level International Business Ethics course.  He has lectured on a variety of cross-cultural topics to first graders through seasoned lawyers.  He was the international CLE planner for the North Carolina Bar Association’s Annual Meetings of the Business and International Law Sections of the Bar in 2014, and currently chairs the International Law Section.  As Chairman of the Wake County Board of Elections he is also frequently interviewed on elections law issues. He serves as a Trustee of Wake Tech, the largest community college in North Carolina and one of the fastest growing community colleges in the Nation.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, David is a competitive swimmer and has completed dozens of triathlons and road races, including several marathons, a Half Ironman, and a Full Ironman Triathlon.  He competed at the 2011 World Triathlon Championships in Beijing, China as a member of Team USA; and again in 2014 in Edmonton, Canada. He is also a member of an award-wining race car team.
